Yesterday’s Bride kicks off with a bang!

GMA’s intriguing Afternoon Prime series YESTERDAY’s BRIDE kicked-off its pilot episode last Monday, October 29, with high numbers, according to data from the industry’s widely trusted ratings service provider Nielsen TV Audience Measurement.

Based on NUTAM overnight ratings, Yesterday’s Bride led with a commanding 41.4% household audience share as against its competitor’s 21.9% showing.

Producers of "Tiktik: The Aswang Chronicles" spent close to P80M for its production

During the press conference of the upcoming horror film "Tiktik: The Aswang Chronicles" the producers of the film confirmed reports that they have apparently spent close to P80million for its production.

Given the complexity of the film's effects, it is not unlikely that its total cost would reach close to the rumoured amount, explained the producers.  While the live action sequences were shot within just 28 days (still unusually longer than most local productions), the post-production stage took more than a year to complete.

Lovi Poe enjoyed her run in "Legacy"

After a successful 6 month run on primetime television, LEGACY comes to an end this June 1.

Ever since it premiered, the show was consistently doing well in ratings.

“I will surely miss playing Natasha Alcantara, the character whom I have learned to love so much”, says Lovi Poe.

Indeed, Natasha is the character that fans have learned to love, hate, and love again. “I’m grateful to the writers, creative staff and our directors, for allowing me to put life into Natasha, this is so far my most memorable role on tv”, confesses the actress.

But even if LEGACY shooting has ended, Lovi’s star shines brighter as she starts working on 2 films simultaneously: “Guni-Guni”which marks the mainstream directorial debut of Tara Illenberger and a drama film which will pit her talents against fellow Kapuso lead actress, Jennylyn Mercado.

Meanwhile, Lovi will be in Hong Kong on June 9 for the Run Freedom and Friendship Ball and on June 10 for the “Tayo Na, Magkaisa”Fiesta.

Nora Aunor topbills Brillante Mendoza's film "Thy Womb"

Nora Aunor, Lovi Poe, Mercedes Cabral and Bembol Rocco stars on the upcoming indie film- “Thy Womb”.

The film is project by Cannes Film Festival award winner Brillante Mendoza. According to the report, the story of the movie is centered to a Badjao woman plays by the super star. 

All the cast now are said to be in Tawi-Tawi for some of the shooting scenes and photo shoot for this indie film.

“Thy Womb” will surely make noises on the Philippine showbiz Industry, not only it is a project of Brillante, because the film is a full cast of talk-about showbiz personalities like Nora Aunor and Lovi Poe. 

Hopefully the indie film in the country will appreciate more by Filipinos than other nations.
