The longest-running showbiz talk show and the recognized showbiz authority, "StarTalk," is celebrating its 17th anniversary on Saturday, October 20 and once again, it will be giving tribute to the battle cry that has sealed its place ahead of every show of its kind -- "only the truth and nothing but."

For the past 17 years, the truth has always been at the core of the show's every episode, the main reason why it has remained the most trusted and reliable source of showbiz news up to this day. StarTalk has kept its vows to ferret out the truth hidden amongst the lies and half-truths for it believes that no matter how PAINFUL, IRONIC, HARD TO ACCEPT and CONFUSING the truth is, it is OFTEN LIBERATING.

In its anniversary episode entitled "The Truth at 17," StarTalk will categorize current showbiz issues into five: "Ang Masakit na Katotohanan," which features stories showing how the truth can hurt; "Ang Mapagpalayang Katotohanan," which features stories that show how the truth can set people free; "Ang Nakalilitong Katotohanan," which features stories that show how the truth can confuse people; "Ang Kagimbal-gimbal Na Katotohanan," which features stories that show how the truth can shock people; and "Ang 'Di Maitatangging Katotohanan," which features stories that show how the truth can NEVER be denied.
StarTalk's anniversary special is expected to be star-studded with no less than former co-host and returning kapuso Lorna Tolentino leading the roster of special guests.
Celebrate the 17th anniversary of the showbiz authority, "StarTalk," on Saturday, October 20 after Eat Bulaga on GMA-7.
