Lovi Poe enjoyed her run in "Legacy"

After a successful 6 month run on primetime television, LEGACY comes to an end this June 1.

Ever since it premiered, the show was consistently doing well in ratings.
“I will surely miss playing Natasha Alcantara, the character whom I have learned to love so much”, says Lovi Poe.
Indeed, Natasha is the character that fans have learned to love, hate, and love again. “I’m grateful to the writers, creative staff and our directors, for allowing me to put life into Natasha, this is so far my most memorable role on tv”, confesses the actress.
But even if LEGACY shooting has ended, Lovi’s star shines brighter as she starts working on 2 films simultaneously: “Guni-Guni”which marks the mainstream directorial debut of Tara Illenberger and a drama film which will pit her talents against fellow Kapuso lead actress, Jennylyn Mercado.
Meanwhile, Lovi will be in Hong Kong on June 9 for the Run Freedom and Friendship Ball and on June 10 for the “Tayo Na, Magkaisa”Fiesta.

Starring Geoff EigenmannJennica Garcia and Jackie RiceKasalanan Bang Ibigin Ka? follows a compelling storyline that explores how bonds between family members are put to the test in the face of love. It also features Michael de Mesa, Angelika dela Cruz, Bobby Andrews, and Sharmaine Arnaiz together with Bubbles Paraiso, Diego Castro, and Pancho Magno.

"Kasalanan Bang Ibigin Ka? is deliciously daring and sinfully addicting," described its director Mr. Mark Reyes. "It's very exciting to see real life father and son Michael de Mesa and Geoff Eigenmann face off as rivals in an edgy love triangle with Jackie Rice, as we guarantee everyone an unpredictable show."

While this new Kapuso afternoon drama delves on mature topics, it also looks at a person's capacity to bear with life's challenges, and sacrifice for the sake of his or her loved ones.

In the series, sisters Erica (Jackie Rice) and Bianca (Jennica Garcia) have always lived a happy and comfortable life with their parents that painted for them an ideal image of "true love".

Keeping this so-called image in mind, the simple and unassuming Erica meets the endearingly handsome yet arrogant Jake (Geoff Eigenmann) and falls in love with him. But her idea of a perfect love story was ruined after Jake mysteriously disappeared and was never heard from again.

As Erica tries to move on with her family by her side, life takes a dark turn when they meet an accident that left both Erica and Bianca's parents dead.

Things only become worse after the girls realize that their parents have been hiding their family's real financial situation for some time. Both must now make a living on their own in order for them to survive.

Tension begins to grow between the two sisters but even more when Bianca finds out that she might be in danger of losing her sight as a result of the accident.

With no one else to turn to, Erica approaches her boss Jaime (Michael de Mesa), a divorced businessman who has always paid special attention to her, and asks him to take care of the expenses for Bianca's operation making way for the sisters' reconciliation.

Soon after, Jaime professes his feelings for Erica, and eventually asks for her hand in marriage. Erica, being reminded of the many good things Jaime has done for her and her sister, agrees.

As the day of their wedding approaches, Erica's life turns upside down when Jaime's children from his first wife Beatrice (Sharmaine Arnaiz) return - Jaime's scheming daughter Leslie (Angelika dela Cruz) and son, Joaquin (Geoff Eigenmann), who turns out to be Erica's former boyfriend Jake.

Still having feelings for her first love, how will Erica reveal the truth to Jaime whom she and Bianca are beholden so much of their lives to? What will come out of this unexpected rivalry between Jaime and his son Jake? What lengths will Leslie take to ruin Erica's reputation in the eyes of her father as well as her brother? Can anything or anyone still come between Erica and Bianca?

Discover the answers in this afternoon drama created by the GMA Drama Group led by GMA Entertainment OIC Lilybeth Rasonable, AVP for Drama Redgie Acuña Magno, Senior Program Manager Cheryl Ching-Sy, Program Manager Hazel Abonita, and executive producer Joy Lumboy-Pili. Raymond Gutierrez and Georgina Wilson for Sexy Solutions

Raymond Gutierrez and Georgina Wilson are constantly in the limelight, whether on television, on the red carpet or in a star-studded fashion event. Being regulars in style blogs, both know the need to look their best at any angle— perfect, slim and streamlined. Even with constant diet and exercise, both friends needed help to get rid of the stubborn fat that just wouldn’t disappear. Fortunately, Sexy Solutions, a subsidiary of the Belo Medical Group, was and continues to be the perfect answer.

Raymond Gutierrez

Sexy Solutions provides the solutions one needs to achieve a sexy body all under one roof. That includes the latest machines that melt the fat, tighten the skin and tone the muscles, as well as fitness and nutritional experts that can guide the patient on how to achieve the results in the healthiest and most convenient way possible.

Georgina Wilson

There are five different Sexy Solutions procedures that target fat cells using heat, ultrasound waves, and mechanical pressure:

1 -- BURST THE FAT with Lipo Cavitation.
Lipo Cavitation breaks down stubborn fat cells in areas such as the abdomen, thighs, arms, upper and lower back by delivering sound waves using low frequency ultrasound causing the fat cells to burst and the fat to seep out, making it easier to flush out through the lymphatic system.

2 -- TIGHTEN THE SKIN with Multi Firm
Multi Firm uses radio frequency heat to improve the appearance of cellulite and stretch marks. As a result of this, the body becomes reshaped and tightened.

3 -- TONE THE MUSCLE with Body Sculpt
Energy pulses are sent to the muscles to promote contractions similar to exercise, causing a “squeezing” effect that is necessary for the acceleration of liquid fat drainage. It also improves blood circulation, lymphatic drainage, and fat metabolism.

Treatments 1, 2 and 3 complement each other. For maximum results, we recommend to do these three treatments in one session.

TiteFx is the newest and most innovative non-invasive body contouring
and fat-destroying machine. It sends High Voltage Pulses that result in
electroporation causing permanent destruction of fat cells. TiteFX also
emits radio frequency that provides precise optimal heating of the skin
for tightening and body shaping.

The Ion Magnum is not a muscle stimulator. It is an advanced fitness system that rapidly burns fat and delivers the benefits of an intense, professional workout without the pain, physical exertion, and exhaustion that comes with conventional exercising. The Ion Magnum uses specific, patented micro-current waveforms that mimic brain waves so that the muscle tissue is made to believe that it is performing a muscle-toning workout.

As a complement to the Sexy Solutions services, we believe that maximum results can be achieved with proper nutrition and a fitness routine. Thus, we have put together a dream team that can help you get the body you want:

Nadine Tengco, US Certified Nutritionist and Weight Loss Specialist of the Biggest Loser Philippines, created proprietary diet plans and drinks that complement and further enhance the effect of the treatments by reducing swelling and promoting proper circulation.

Along with Edward Mendez, Sports Science & Nutrition Expert, author of fitness book called “Your Dream Body Come True,” offers consultations and specialized diet plans and exercises that will guide you to achieve a lean and toned physique.

Raymond and Georgina’s Reviews

Asked whether they instantly felt a change after one session, Raymond said,
“I already saw results on my first session! In my first session, which lasted less than 2 hours, I lost 4.7 inches from my midsection. Of course, it's up to you how to maintain it. For me, I balanced a proper diet and exercise regimen with regular treatments at Sexy Solutions.”

“Sexy Solutions made the process of losing weight a breeze! The treatments are painless because of the amazing new technology they have. But more than anything, it’s really the people behind it. It’s so easy to lose momentum when you’re trying to lose weight. However, the staff really took care of me and encouraged me. I feel like I'm part of this new family and I'll be forever grateful.”

As for Georgina, she stated, “I saw results immediately. Consequently, I became hooked right away! Areas that I had practically given up on were immediately smaller. I actually couldn’t believe the measurements after the first time I tried it because they were so drastic. I went from a 29 inch waist to a 25 inch waist in two months.”

Sexy Solutions has been a large part of my commitment to fitness. I'm so
happy because I feel like I have a partner in losing weight and maintaining
my ideal body. It doesn't all happen in the Sexy Solutions clinics, exercising
and dieting are integral to the program, but I definitely feel like we’re all
working towards the same goal— a body that I am happy with. Sexy Solutions
is my secret weapon to getting sexy and most importantly, staying sexy.”

Rocco Nacino's bankability shows in "The Good Daughter"

Former StarStruck finalist Rocco Nacino, who was named Second Prince at the conclusion of StarStruck V, must have felt odd about the title he earned. Some people may have gotten the impression that he is destined for second-fiddle jobs.

Rocco Nacino

Wait. Fast forward to February 2012 and here we see Rocco playing the lead role in a drama series. He is leading man to actress Kylie Padilla, portraying the character of Darwin Alejandro who is described as the rebellious love interest, ally of the troubled Bea Guevarra (Kylie).

The high-rated teleserye also stars Raymond Bagatsing, Alicia Mayer, and Max Collins. Its plot revolves around Bea whose mother dies – a shocking turn to a nice life as her father remarries and brings home a stepmother she disapproves of.

The rising Rocco Nacino is fast pulling away from the shadow of having to come off from StarStruck, gaining grounds after delivering good performances for significant roles awarded him. He acted as national hero Jose Rizal in “Pluma”, danced his way as Jason in the genre-bending “Time of my Life,’ and played a crucial part in “Mistaken Identity”, the first morning drama series produced by the GMA ETV group.

He also had remarkable stints in the successful series “Amaya” and “Gumapang Ka Sa Lusak.”

Whereas he can serve as a viable dramatic actor, his versatility has made him a bankable comic act as well. He is regularly seen in “Bubble Gang” sharing screen time with the likes of Michael V and Ogie Alcasid. Recently he stood as “Tadijack”, spoof of Jack Dawson in James Cameron’s “Titanic” movie, for the documentary about the doomed ship for the Drew Arellano-hosted program “Aha!”

One of the truly promising GMA Artist Center heartthrobs, Rocco is displaying some great dance moves on Party Pilipinas on Sundays

Down to Mars launches first recording album

The seven-member Pinoy Pop or “P-Pop” group Down to Mars launched their first recording album yesterday, May 22, at Dolce Bar on Timog Avenue, Quezon City.

The album entitled Down to Mars contains five songs including a Tagalog ballad “Nandito Lang Ako” and the carrier single “My Everything,” which also comes with a remix version.

Members of the group Kiro, Yheen, Daisuke, Sky, Jeongwon, Jang and Kenji showed their amazing performance to their fans and some members of the press and VIPs who were present during the launch, including former GMA SVP for Entertainment TV Wilma Galvante who was the guest of honor.

The boys dedicated their only Tagalog song in the album to Galvante, who they said was instrumental in the formation of the group.

Down to Mars was formed in 2011 through the initiative of dance choreographer, and now the group’s co-manager, Geleen Eugenio. The group is co-managed by GMA’s Talent Development and Management Department or the GMA Artist Center.

“Nasa Party Pilipinas kami nun, tapos may segment doon na kailangan namin ng foreign-looking boys na makakasama ni Kyla sa isang production number. Tapos ‘yung aming music researcher nagdala, ang dinala sina Jang at Daisuke. Sabi ko ‘OK to ah, may dating.’ Tapos English sila nang English. Tinanong ko sila, ‘Are you enjoying the show?’ Sagot naman siya ng ‘Yes, yes…’ So ako naman English din nang English. Tapos nung tinanong ko yung music researcher kung magkakaibigan ba ‘tong mga ito, sumagot naman sila ‘Opo, magkakaibigan po kami.’ Marunong palang mag-Tagalog,” recalled Geleen.

Jang and Daisuke told Eugenio that they have peers who are also good performers. Two days later, the group showed their talent to Eugenio, who in turn introduced them to then GMA Entertainment TV Group Head Wilma Galvante.

The then nameless group performed in front of Ms. Galvante and all the program managers. The entertainment heads were impressed and not long thereafter, the group signed up for a co-management contract with GMA Artist Center.

Since then, Down to Mars has been a mainstay in the Sunday afternoon musical variety show Party Pilipinas. They were officially launched on television on May 22, 2011, exactly a year before the launch of their first album.

The members of the group are unanimous in saying that the release of their first album was a dream-come-true. And now that their first dream has become a reality, they’re working on the other items in their wish list like having a TV show of their own.

GMA Entertainment Vice President Marivin Arayata, who was also a special guest during the launch, granted their wish and promised to guest the group in her comedy shows.

The year 2012 has so far been a lucky year for Down to Mars. Incidentally, the song “2012” was what they sang when they were launched in Party Pilipinas a year ago. Also this year, the Department of Tourism chose Down to Mars to represent the country in the celebration of South Korea’s national day on July 22, where they will perform three songs including “Bonamana (Beauty),” a hit single of the popular South Korean Pop (K-Pop) group Super Junior.

The group said that they will be working doubly hard to practice for that big night.

The album Down to Mars is distributed by Polyeast Records.

The concert aims to attract the three artists’ growing fan base in Singapore—including the OFW (Overseas Filipino Workers) population—and in the rest of Southeast Asia.

“We expect a lot of Singaporeans to watch the show. We heard that there are even Malaysian and Indonesian fans that are flying here and buying tickets just to see them,” adds Zanders.

Gold Record singer-composer Myrus recently released his second all-original album titled “Wanted” under Viva Records featuring his radio and YouTube hit “Pusong Lito.” He is an Awit Awards nominee for Best New Male Recording Artist in 2010, an ASAP 24K Awardee in 2009, and the head of an OPM advocacy program called “Tunog Natin.”

Its official music video and its reposts as well as lyrics videos have garnered over five million Youtube views so far. Likewise, it is one of the best-selling OPM songs online today according to

Meanwhile, Vicor Music’s Princess Velasco is one of the most brilliant acoustic artists today. With gold record albums under her name, she is a regular member of the group “Sessionistas” in the Sunday variety show ASAP in ABS-CBN.

Fall in love once again with American rock band, Lifehouse, as they take Manila by storm in an evening of extraordinary musical pleasure this May 26th at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.

Lifehouse’s leap to mainstream success started with the release of their international hit single “Hanging by a Moment” which became the Most Played Song in 2001. Written by Jason Wade, the song catapulted the band into commercial recognition. This was followed by other chart-topping hits such as “You and Me” and “Blind” from their self-titled album “Lifehouse” as well as “Whatever It Takes” from the album “Who We Are” all under MCA Music. Their latest album, “Smoke & Mirrors”, debuted at #6 on the Billboard 200 marking the highest chart debut of their 10-year career. It sold 500,000 units in the United States and over two million worldwide, owning the charts for twenty consecutive weeks.

Most of the band’s songs were featured on TV series and motion pictures in the United States. “Everything” was used in the series Smallville, “All in All” in Scrubs while “Good Enough” was played over the end credits of the Disney film “The Wild”. The band’s ability to evoke emotions and effectively translate it into a song was what gained them their massive fan base over the years. Tracks like “Sick Cycle Carousel”, “Everything”, “Breathing”, “First Time”, “You and Me” and more, were played over and over again by loyal listeners worldwide. These songs captured the hearts of millions and left them wanting more.

Lifehouse is composed of Jason Wade on lead vocals/rhythm guitar, Ben Carey on lead guitar, Rick Woolstenhulme Jr. on drums and Bryce Soderberg on bass guitar.

Their albums are now out in CDs at leading record stores and online via under MCA Music.

For those who missed the American rock band who gave us the hits “Hanging by a Moment”, “You and Me’, and “First Time” perform last July 2008, now is your chance to see them again. Today is the LADY GAGA Day in Manila

Make some noise! Today is the LADY GAGA day. The "Born This Way Diva" is having a concert later at the SM Mall of Asia Arena.

Lady Gaga Concert in Manila 2012

Watch out for the explosive sing and dance performances of this super talented singer. Look out as well for her exotic dress and costumes during her concert.

I'm pretty sure that this concert is a big BLAST.

As far I'm concern, the Lady Gaga concert is the first concert that will be held in SM Arena. There are some saying that this bigger than the ARaneta Coliseum..hmmm.. let me compare that as I watch the concert on the 22nd of May.

This will be a two-night concert.. First is later (May 21, 2012) and then tomorrow (May 22,2012).

I'm wondering who are the celebrities that will be spotted by my camera. So better watch out for  the photos and videos of that..

Krissy, Ericka and Sabrina shine at Jay Park's concert

Krissy, Ericka and Sabrina are the Pinoy artists who joins Jay Park's Concert.

As Korean pop sensation Jay Park conquered Manila with his moves, MCA Music’s OPM artists—Asia’s Acoustic Sweetheart Sabrina and YouTube Sensations Krissy & Ericka, also took center stage as they opened for him during his shows.

Krissy & Ericka and Jay Park
Sabrina impressed the audience with songs from her current album “I Love Acoustic 4” at Jay Park’s shows at Eastwood Mall Open Park last May 4 and Lucky Chinatown Mall last May 6. She also performed for the first time her latest single “Somewhere Down The Road” from her upcoming album “Acoustic Love Notes” which will feature radio and TV personality Joe D’Mango. Prior to the show, she bonded with the Korean superstar at Red Box Eastwood where they also posed for photos with Jay directing their poses. Sabrina continues to make waves in Southeast Asia which was proven by the recent Platinum awarding of her album “I Love Acoustic 4” in Indonesia.

Sister Krissy and Ericka meanwhile made an impact with their 3 song acoustic set last May 5 at the Venice Piazza at McKinley Hill. Jay Park was so delighted with their performance that he had to approach Krissy & Ericka to congratulate them before going up the stage to perform his own songs. Their single “12:51” from the album of the same title still rules the charts of radio stations from Luzon to Mindanao as well as music channels in the country. Krissy & Ericka is set to release their new single “In Your Arms”, another original song they wrote.
