Artista Academy delcares Sophie Albert and Vin Abrenica as the winners

Sophie Albert and Vin Abrenica were announced as the grand winner of TV 5 artista search, Artista Academy, held live last October 27, 2012 at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.

Bubble Gang airs "blockbuster" episode

"Bubble Gang," the longest-running comedy/gag show on Philippine TV will air a blockbuster episode tonight in celebration of its 17th anniversary -- “Dis Is Siete.”

Five short comedy films, directed by five renowned filmmakers will be shown back-to-back tonight.

Unfortunately, death will keep the newly-wed couple apart too soon when the husband dies.  But his demise was actually a blessing in disguise for Janessa as she is left with so much wealth.  Now that she's rich and powerful, she could easily get back at her cruel family.  But instead of taking revenge, she does something unexpected which turns out to be hilarious.

Gustin comes to a conclusion this Monday

Starting Monday, October 15, GMA airs the fourth and final episode of the 2nd Kapuso Mini Sine "Gustin."

Inspired by true events, Gustin tells of two young boys, who unexpectedly dig up a handbag filled with money, while rummaging through old scrap to find things to sell. One of the boys, Gustin (Denzel Guiao), surrenders the handbag to their local Baranggay Captain (Pen Medina), who then gives back the bag to Gustin, and lets him decide on his fate.

Producers of "Tiktik: The Aswang Chronicles" spent close to P80M for its production

During the press conference of the upcoming horror film "Tiktik: The Aswang Chronicles" the producers of the film confirmed reports that they have apparently spent close to P80million for its production.

Given the complexity of the film's effects, it is not unlikely that its total cost would reach close to the rumoured amount, explained the producers.  While the live action sequences were shot within just 28 days (still unusually longer than most local productions), the post-production stage took more than a year to complete.

The Killers’ releases Battle Born album

From out of the wreckage of the American Civil War, the great state of Nevada came into being on October 31st, 1864.
